How our fees work

We’re firm believers that expert legal advice should be as accessible as possible, and part of that involves keeping our fees fair and transparent.

To help you plan your budget, all the fees we indicate to you include GST, service costs and the title search and registration fees involved with transferring or investigating the title to property. Additional reports such as builder’s reports, LIMs and valuations incur additional costs.

Every transaction is different and comes with its own unique set of circumstances. While the highly variable nature of property law makes it difficult to offer fixed fees for every possible situation, we also understand it’s important to be able to budget. The fees we normally charge for common conveyancing services for residential properties are listed below and include GST and registration costs. When we start work for you we will provide you with a personalised letter of engagement setting out the fees applicable to you which will be valid for 30 days:

If you cannot meet with us to sign documents in normal working hours or if we need to travel out to you an additional charge will apply (area dependent)

Please note that the fees estimated above are based on an existing household property with an uncomplicated title. If you are using ANZ, Westpac or SBS Bank for mortgage finance, a lawyer is required to receive mortgage instructions. Consequently, a further charge of $305 is payable when using these banks, which is the fee payable to the bank’s lawyer.
